gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad software package provides GStreamer plugins from the bad set, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad
gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad *
You will get with gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad package name, version, architecture and description in a table
